The Risk Analyst is critical to making this happen and will:
Deliver on actionable/value-add insights and analyses in support of the decision automation and optimization journey of Retail Risk

Streamline credit risk strategy, policy, and process for ANZ’s Retail Credit Portfolios

Deliver improved decision automation, low friction and fast outcomes for customers whilst managing ANZ risk appropriately

Utilize analytical techniques, leveraging existing data and system infrastructure, to create more tailored decisions and offers that improve customer and business outcome

End to end delivery of changes from ideation to rollout, coordinating with stakeholders across the business

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

A self-starter focused on sound decision making to drive quality and timely delivery outcomes within a defined set of parameters and readily available direction.

Relevant experience solving business problems using complex & analytic thinking skills that can be applied to solve business problems.

Enjoy working “on the tools”, with sound working knowledge of data science, and/or business decision systems and/or reporting software tools (e.g., MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, PowerCurve, TRIAD Customer Manager, AbInitio).

Effective communication skills both written and verbal, with a strong capability to articulate complex analytical information clearly and simply.

Can appreciate difficult problems and enjoy getting stuck into the detail, but able to keep an eye on the big picture to keep moving forward.

Comfortable with uncertainty and can manage through ambiguity and change.

Stakeholder management experience, as necessary to enable work to be delivered.

Relevant prior experience working within industries including (but not limited to): financial, professional, or consulting services, utilities, engineering, information/data providers (such as credit bureaux).
